Derby Stallion 64 is one of those weirdly addictive N64 horse racing sims that somehow makes breeding and training pixelated stallions way more engaging than it sounds. You start off picking a foal—stats matter, but I just went with the one that looked cool—then spend way too much time tweaking its training regimen before finally hitting the track.
The races are janky in that classic N64 way, but there’s something satisfying about watching your horse pull ahead after all that prep. And yeah, the graphics are "realistic" for 1998, which mostly means the horses don’t look like polygons from hell. If you’re into slow-burn management games with a side of chaotic racing, this one’s oddly hard to put down.
