Derby Stallion 64 is one of those weirdly deep horse racing sims that somehow ended up on the N64—and honestly, it’s way more involved than you’d expect. You start off picking a foal, then spend ages training it, tweaking its diet, and praying it doesn’t turn out slow. The breeding system’s actually kind of nuts—you can mix bloodlines like some equestrian mad scientist, and watching your stats play out in races is weirdly satisfying.
The beta version’s a little rough around the edges (obviously), but if you’re into stat-heavy sims, it’s got that addictive "just one more race" hook. Just don’t go in expecting flashy graphics—this is pure spreadsheet gaming with a side of pixelated hooves.
