About Defender Of The Dynatron City
Defender of the Dynatron City came out for the NES in 1992 from Lucasfilm Games. It was part of that wave of late NES titles trying to capture some of the energy from cartoons and comics. You control a team of superheroes defending a futuristic city from the villain Dr. Mayhem and his robot army.
You pick one hero at a time, like Jet Headstrong who launches his head like a rocket or Buzzsaw Girl who slices through enemies with her legs. The main goal is to fight through levels screen by screen, clearing out all the robots in an area before you can move on. You collect power-ups to improve your attacks and search for hidden items. The pacing is methodical, and the difficulty can be unforgiving if you rush. Playing it feels like a slow, deliberate brawl where picking the right hero for the situation matters.
