About Defender Of The Crown
Defender of the Crown came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987, a port of the earlier computer game by Cinemaware. On the NES, it was a title that stood out for its ambition, trying to blend different genres on a console mostly known for simpler arcade style games and platformers.
You control a Saxon lord, one of several choices, aiming to unite England by reclaiming lands from the Normans.
