About Deadly Towers
Deadly Towers came out in 1986 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Irem. It was one of many action games from that period that tried to capture the exploratory spirit of the early NES library, offering a large world to navigate without much hand-holding.
You control a knight named Myer, tasked with destroying seven bells to stop a dark wizard. You explore a sprawling map screen by screen, swinging your sword at the monsters that appear in every room. A key mechanic is the need to collect rings and orbs to upgrade your sword and armor, which is essential for surviving the later towers.
