About Day Dreamin' Davey
Day Dreamin' Davey came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Sculptured Software. It was one of those later NES titles that tried something a little different, focusing on a kid's imagination instead of the usual platforming or action.
You control Davey, a boy who escapes the boredom of school by daydreaming. Your main goal is to navigate through his fantasy worlds, which are presented screen by screen. You use a slingshot to defeat enemies and collect items like keys to progress. The game involves a lot of exploration and light puzzle solving within these dream sequences. The pacing can feel repetitive, and some sections are surprisingly difficult. Playing it feels like wandering through a strange, slightly disjointed cartoon.
