About Daffy Duck - The Marvin Missions (japan)
I picked up Daffy Duck: The Marvin Missions for my Game Boy back in 1994, a Sunsoft release that fit right in with the platform's library of side-scrolling adventures. It was a time when licensed games were everywhere, and this one promised a spacefaring romp with the famous Looney Tunes character.
You control Daffy Duck, or rather his Duck Dodgers persona, navigating a series of side-scrolling levels. Your main goal is to stop Marvin the Martian by progressing through his heavily guarded spaceship. The gameplay involves running, jumping across platforms, and using a limited supply of bombs to clear obstacles and defeat enemies. You explore the ship screen by screen, often needing to find specific items or keys to unlock new sections. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, demanding precise jumps and careful resource management. It feels like a challenging, sometimes unforgiving trek through a cartoonish alien fortress.
