Daedalian Opus is one of those weird little Game Boy puzzle games that somehow sticks with you. You start off staring at these geometric shapes—some look like Tetris blocks gone rogue—and you’ve gotta rotate and fit them together just right. Sounds simple, but the first few puzzles trick you into thinking it’s easy… then suddenly you’re stuck for way longer than you’d admit.
What’s cool is how it plays with perspective—sometimes you’re assembling 2D pieces, other times it feels like you’re building a 3D structure. The music’s got that classic Game Boy vibe too, all bleepy and hypnotic. It’s the kind of game you pick up for five minutes and end up grinding at for half an hour without realizing.
Definitely a hidden gem if you’re into old-school brain teasers. Just don’t blame me when you start seeing puzzle solutions in your sleep.
