Cyraid on the Game Boy is one of those games that nails that perfect mix of "just one more try" and "how did I even die there?" You start off with this dinky little blaster, hopping between platforms on some weird alien planet while these pixelated critters come at you from all sides. The first level tricks you into thinking it's easy—then suddenly you're getting swarmed from above and below.

The music slaps, though. That chiptune soundtrack gets stuck in your head in the best way, especially when you're replaying the same section for the tenth time. And the weapons? You start basic, but later you're unlocking these ridiculous spread shots and homing beams that make you feel unstoppable—until the next screen humbles you real quick.

It's got that classic Game Boy vibe where everything's a little cramped, a little janky, but somehow it just works. If you dig old-school run-and-gun action, this one's still a blast.
