You control a team of seven robotic players on a gridiron. Your main goal is to score touchdowns while managing the game's central mechanic: a football that heats up and will explode if you don't periodically defuse it by crossing midfield or through a change of possession. You call plays from a selection of runs and passes, and your robots have finite durability, smoking and eventually exploding if they take too many tackles. The pacing is frantic, as you're constantly weighing the risk of a big play against the ticking timer on the ball itself. It feels like a high-stakes game of hot potato played with robots on a digital field.
