Man, Cruis'n World on N64 is pure arcade racing chaos in the best way possible. You start off picking from these ridiculous cars (some look like they belong in a sci-fi movie) and then just blast through tracks set in places like Egypt, Japan, and even Antarctica. The physics are totally over-the-top—you can flip your car three times mid-air after hitting a ramp and somehow land perfectly.
The tracks are packed with shortcuts and weird obstacles, like pyramids you can jump over or Tokyo streets full of neon signs. Graphics are chunky N64-era stuff, but the speed holds up surprisingly well. Half the fun is unlocking the secret cars—some are just straight-up goofy, like a taxi or a hot rod with flames.
It’s not exactly realistic, but that’s the point. You’ll be grinning the whole time you’re powersliding past the Eiffel Tower or barely dodging a yeti in the Himalayas. If you miss that era of racing games where style mattered more than simulation, this one’s a blast.
