About Crazy Climber
Crazy Climber came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986, published by Nichibutsu. It was a time when arcade ports were common, and this one brought a unique kind of challenge to the home console. The premise was straightforward, but the execution was anything but simple.
You control a climber scaling a series of skyscrapers. Your main goal is to reach the top of each building without falling. The core mechanics involve moving your character's left and right hands independently to grab the next set of windows, navigating a constant barrage of hazards. Windows slam shut to block your path, while residents lean out to drop flower pots, buckets, and other objects. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is unforgiving, demanding quick reflexes and careful planning for every move. It feels like a tense, precarious battle against the building itself.
