Comics Game

Comics on the NES is one of those weird, obscure titles that makes you go, "Wait, this was a real game?" It's a side-scrolling beat 'em up where you play as a comic book artist—yeah, really—who gets sucked into his own creation. You punch, kick, and toss enemies through panels that look ripped straight from the Sunday funnies.
The controls are a little stiff, like most NES brawlers, but there's something charming about the way your character's attacks send bad guys flying into speech bubbles. The backgrounds are bright and cartoony, with bold outlines that actually make it feel like you're fighting inside a comic. Just don't expect deep combat—this is pure old-school button-mashing.
It's short, a little janky, and definitely not a hidden gem, but if you're into retro oddities, it's a fun curiosity to try for 20 minutes.
