Clu Clu Land is this weird little NES gem where you play as Bubbles, a round little thing trying to reclaim stolen treasure from spiky sea urchins. The whole thing plays out in these underwater mazes where you're basically a pinball—you just keep moving in one direction until you grab a turning post to change course.
Your goal is to uncover all the hidden golden ingots in each stage, which form these cute little shapes like hearts or mushrooms. Sounds simple, but those Unira enemies are everywhere, and if you don't time your sound wave attack right, they'll mess you up. Best part? When you stun them, you can shove them into walls to clear them out—super satisfying when you pull it off.
Oh, and watch out for the black holes. One wrong move and you're toast. It's got that classic "easy to learn, tough to master" thing going on. Definitely one of Nintendo's more bizarre early titles, but in a good way.
