About City Connection
City Connection came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985, developed and published by Jaleco. It was one of many arcade-style games that filled out the NES library in those early years, offering a straightforward challenge without a lot of frills.
You control a small car, driving it across a series of single-screen highway platforms. The main goal is to paint every section of the road a different color while avoiding police cars and obstacles like oil slicks and cats. Your primary tools are jumping to change lanes or cross gaps and collecting oil cans to temporarily disable the pursuing police. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the difficulty escalates quickly as more hazards appear on screen. It feels like a constant, frantic scramble to finish painting a level before you are overwhelmed.
