Choujin Sentai - Jetman is one of those NES beat 'em ups that feels like a lost Saturday morning cartoon—because, well, it basically is. You pick from the five color-coded Jetman heroes (I always went with Black Condor because he just looks cooler) and punch your way through waves of goons in that classic side-scrolling style. The controls are simple, but there’s something satisfying about tossing enemies into the background or pulling off a screen-clearing special move when things get chaotic.
And yeah, between levels, you suddenly jump into this clunky but charming giant robot battle minigame—it’s janky as heck, but in that way old NES games somehow make endearing. If you’ve ever wondered what Power Rangers might’ve looked like before it hit the West, this is a weird little time capsule of that era.
