Chou Snobow Kids is one of those N64 snowboarding games that flew under the radar—probably because it never left Japan. But if you dig arcadey snowboard racers, this one’s a blast. The controls are simple enough to pick up in minutes, but nailing the perfect trick combo while dodging trees and other riders takes some real finesse.
What I love is how over-the-top it feels—you’re boosting down slopes at ridiculous speeds, pulling off spins that would snap real bones, and the courses have these wild jumps that send you soaring. The multiplayer’s chaotic in the best way, especially when someone wipes out mid-air and eats snow. Graphics are bright and chunky in that classic N64 way, with just enough detail to make the powder look satisfying when you carve through it.
It’s not as polished as, say, 1080° Snowboarding, but there’s a scrappy charm to it. If you’re into import games or just want something different from the usual snowboarding lineup, give this a spin.
