Oh man, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers on NES—what a throwback. You play as either Chip or Dale (I always picked Dale because he throws boxes faster) running through these colorful levels based on the cartoon. The controls feel tight, and chucking apples and boxes at enemy rats never gets old. Some of those later stages get surprisingly tough, especially when you're dodging bees or dealing with that one boss who keeps tossing dynamite.
It's got that classic Disney platformer charm, like a slightly easier DuckTales. The music's catchy too—I still hum the theme sometimes. If you grew up with the show, it's pure nostalgia, but even if you didn't, it holds up as a solid NES platformer. Just watch out for those sneaky cats in the alley levels.
