Okay, so this is one of those old-school Game Boy games based on the Chibi Maruko-chan anime—you know, the one with the little girl and her super relatable family life. But don’t expect a chill slice-of-life sim here. It’s actually a side-scrolling action game where Maruko runs, jumps, and bonks enemies with… a jump rope? Yeah, it’s weirdly charming.
The first level throws you right into it—you’re dodging rolling apples, hopping over gaps, and smacking these weird blob monsters. The controls are simple, but some of the platforming gets sneaky later on. And of course, there’s that classic Game Boy jingle when you grab power-ups. It’s not the deepest game, but if you’re into retro anime oddities, it’s a fun little time capsule.
