This one's a cute little Game Boy gem based on the classic Chibi Maruko-chan anime. You get a bunch of mini-games packed into one cart—stuff like memory matching, a simple platformer, and even a weirdly addictive button-timing rhythm challenge. The pixel art nails Maruko's chibi style perfectly, right down to her signature red hat bobbing around.
It's definitely aimed at younger players (or nostalgic fans), so don't expect deep mechanics. But there's something charming about how janky some of the mini-games feel—like the fishing one where the controls are just slightly off, but you keep playing anyway because Maruko's grandpa cheers when you catch a tiny sardine. The whole thing oozes early '90s anime vibes.
Fair warning: unless you understand Japanese, you'll be guessing at some menus. Still, the icons are clear enough that you can stumble through. I lost way too much time to the "help Maruko's dad find his lost shoe" mini-game, and I regret nothing.
