Chameleon Twist 2 is one of those weird, charming N64 platformers that never got enough love. You play as a little chameleon with a stretchy tongue that works like a grappling hook—swinging across gaps, snagging fruit, and even flipping switches. The controls take a minute to get used to (that tongue physics is oddly weighty), but once it clicks, you’ll be bouncing off walls and flinging yourself through these bright, blocky levels like a reptile on a sugar rush.
It’s got that classic late-90s platformer energy—some jank here and there, but in a way that feels nostalgic rather than frustrating. The puzzles are just tricky enough to make you pause and think, but never so hard you’ll rage-quit. And honestly? The goofy character designs and cheery music give it way more personality than most mascot games from that era.
If you missed this one back in the day, it’s a solid hidden gem for anyone who grew up on Banjo-Kazooie or Kirby 64.
