Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge is one of those Game Boy gems that actually holds up. You play as Christopher Belmont (yeah, another Belmont), whipping your way through Dracula’s minions to save your kidnapped son. The levels are split into four themed castles—mist, rock, plant, and crystal—and each has its own weird little gimmicks, like disappearing platforms or vines you gotta climb.
It’s tougher than the first Game Boy Castlevania, but in a good way. The music slaps (for a Game Boy game), and the sprite work is surprisingly detailed. Just don’t expect Symphony of the Night—this is classic, straightforward vampire hunting with a side of 8-bit frustration. Worth a play if you’re into old-school action.
