Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness is that weird, kinda janky N64 sequel to the already divisive Castlevania 64—but honestly? It’s got this weird charm. You’ve got four characters to pick from, including a werewolf named Cornell (yes, really), and the whole thing feels like a clunky but ambitious attempt at 3D gothic horror. The camera fights you, the platforming’s awkward, but there’s something about creeping through candlelit halls and fighting giant skeletons that just works.
It’s definitely not Symphony of the Night, but if you can stomach the N64-era roughness, there’s a solid, moody adventure here. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand—those boss fights will wreck you if you’re not careful.
