About Castelian
Castelian came out in 1991 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Bits Studios. It was one of those puzzle platformers that felt distinct from the more common action games on the system, offering a methodical climb instead of a frantic run and gun.
You control a small character navigating a tall, multi-screen tower. Your goal is to reach the top by moving from one screen to the next. The core mechanics involve finding the correct door on each screen to proceed upward while avoiding enemies and environmental hazards. The game requires careful observation and timing, as a single mistake often sends you back to the beginning of the stage.
