Captain Planet & The Planteers Game
📅 1990 ✍️ Chris Gray Enterprises Inc.

Captain Planet & The Planeteers on NES is one of those licensed games that actually tries something different. You start off picking one of the five Planeteers—each with their own elemental power—and right away, you're tossing fireballs, summoning gusts of wind, or chucking boulders at pollution-spewing factories. The controls are a little stiff, but there's something satisfying about blasting toxic sludge with a water blast.
When things get rough, you can combine powers to summon Captain Planet for a limited time. He's basically a wrecking ball in blue spandex, plowing through enemies that gave you trouble moments before. The levels are pretty varied—one minute you're in a jungle, the next you're dodging oil spills in the ocean. It's not the smoothest NES game out there, but if you grew up with the cartoon, it’s a fun little nostalgia trip. Just don’t expect it to hold up like the classics.
