Buck Bumble is one of those weird, late-'90s N64 gems where you play as a cybernetic bee with a machine gun strapped to its back. Yeah, you read that right. You zip around a garden blasting mutant bugs, dodging wasp swarms, and occasionally stopping to hover awkwardly because bee flight physics are... unique.
The controls take a minute to click—you’re basically a tiny helicopter with a stinger—but once you get the hang of barrel rolls and mid-air dodges, it’s stupidly fun. The soundtrack’s this weird mix of techno and ambient garden noises, which somehow works when you’re dodging missile fire from a robotic mantis.
It’s janky in that classic N64 way, but there’s charm in the absurdity. Just don’t expect a deep story—you’re a bee saving flowers from evil bugs, and that’s all the motivation you’re getting.
