About Bubble Ghost (japan)
Bubble Ghost came out for the Game Boy in 1990, published by Kemco. It was one of those quiet, thoughtful puzzle games that felt right at home on the handheld, a different kind of challenge compared to the action titles of the time. You controlled a little ghost, and your entire world was this single, fragile bubble you had to shepherd from one end of a room to the next.
You guide the bubble by blowing it; a tap of the button gives a soft puff of air to nudge it along. The main goal is simply to get the bubble to the exit door in each single screen room without letting it touch any hazards or pop. The signature mechanics are all about managing that delicate float. You control the ghost's breath strength, sometimes needing a gentle nudge and other times a stronger gust to climb upward or cross gaps. The pacing is slow and deliberate, as a single mistake means starting the room over. It feels like a patient, almost meditative test of control, where every input matters.
