Bubble Ghost is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that shouldn’t work but totally does. You play as this tiny, adorable ghost whose whole job is blowing a fragile bubble through maze-like rooms—sounds simple until you realize everything from candles to spikes can pop it instantly. The controls take a second to get used to (you don’t move the ghost directly, just control the bubble’s movement with gusts of air), but once it clicks, it’s weirdly satisfying.
The pixel art has that classic Game Boy charm, and the music sticks in your head way longer than it should. Early levels ease you in, but by the halfway point, you’re threading bubbles through spinning gears and timing gusts just right to avoid floating hazards. Mess up, and the bubble pops with this silly little *plink* sound—which somehow makes failing less frustrating.
It’s the kind of game you pick up for five minutes and suddenly realize you’ve been at it for an hour. If you like puzzle games with a side of retro quirk, this one’s a blast.
