About Boxxle 2
I first played Boxxle 2 on my Game Boy back in 1991. It was developed by Thinking Rabbit, the same company that made the original. During that era, the handheld was full of puzzle games, and this one fit right in with its straightforward, grid based challenges. It wasn't trying to be flashy; it was just a solid, thoughtful experience you could carry in your pocket.
You control a warehouse worker pushing crates around single screen rooms. The goal is to move every crate onto a marked target spot. The main mechanics involve sliding boxes, which can only be pushed, not pulled, and navigating tight corridors where a single wrong move can block your path completely. The game progresses screen by screen, with each new puzzle introducing more complex layouts or new obstacles. The difficulty ramps up steadily, demanding careful planning several steps ahead. Finishing a particularly stubborn stage gives a quiet, satisfying sense of having untangled a knot.
