Bomber Man 64 (J) on N64 is classic chaotic fun—you’re dropping bombs in maze-like levels, trying to blast enemies and walls while not blowing yourself up in the process. The Japanese version has some quirks, like different power-ups, which makes it a fun alternative if you’ve played the US release.
At first, the controls feel a little stiff compared to newer games, but once you get used to it, the strategy kicks in. Do you rush ahead or take your time setting traps? Multiplayer is where it really shines—nothing beats watching your friends panic when they realize they’re boxed in by your perfectly placed bombs.
It’s not the deepest game, but if you’re into retro action with a bit of thinking ahead, this one’s a solid pick.
