Body Harvest is one of those weird, ambitious N64 games that didn’t get enough love. You jump between time periods—1916 Greece, 1966 America, even a futuristic 1996—blasting alien bugs that are, uh, harvesting humans (hence the title). It’s got this janky open-world thing where you steal cars, tanks, even boats to mow down swarms of enemies. The controls take some getting used to, but once it clicks, there’s something oddly satisfying about plowing through a horde of bugs in a clunky vintage truck.
It’s like a rough draft for later open-world games—messy, kinda broken in places, but full of ideas that were way ahead of its time. If you can handle the N64-era camera struggles, there’s a bizarre charm to it. Just don’t expect Grand Theft Auto levels of polish.
