Body Harvest on the N64 is this weird, ambitious sci-fi shooter where you hop between time periods to stop aliens from harvesting humans (hence the name). You start off in 1916 Greece, running around with a shotgun, stealing cars, and mowing down these creepy bug-like creatures. The controls feel a little janky now, but back then, the open-world vibe was mind-blowing—you could just drive tanks through villages or fly a plane if you felt like it.
What’s cool is how each era changes things—1960s Java has jungles and jeeps, while the far future is all hovercars and laser guns. The missions get pretty tough, especially when you’re trying to protect panicking civilians from getting snatched. It’s got that classic N64 roughness, but there’s nothing else quite like it. Definitely a cult favorite for a reason.
