About Blues Brothers, The
I remember picking up The Blues Brothers for the NES back in 1992. It was published by Titus Software, a company that put out a lot of games for the system during its later years. This was a time when the NES library was massive, filled with every kind of platformer you could imagine, and this one was based on the movie characters.
You control either Jake or Elwood Blues, running and jumping through city streets and other locations. The main goal is to get the band back together by finding your missing instruments and band members across many levels. Your main actions are jumping on enemies and throwing your hat as a projectile weapon to clear a path. The game is structured screen by screen, and the pacing is relentless, with enemies and obstacles coming at you constantly, making it quite difficult. Playing it feels like a frantic dash against the clock and your own reflexes.
