About Blues Brothers Jukebox
I picked up Blues Brothers Jukebox for the Game Boy when it came out. It was published by Titus, and it fit right in with the other licensed games of that era. You didn't expect much from a movie tie-in, but it was there, another cartridge to try on the small screen.
You control either Jake or Elwood Blues, running and jumping through side-scrolling stages. The main goal is to get the band back together by finding your missing instruments and band members. You move screen by screen, punching enemies and dodging obstacles. The levels are full of platforming challenges and simple combat. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty can be unforgiving with its precise jumps. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes frustrating, run through a chaotic Saturday morning.
