Blues Brothers 2000 on N64 is one of those weird, late-'90s licensed games that somehow works. You run around smashing stuff, collecting musical notes, and occasionally breaking into rhythm minigames—all while that sweet blues soundtrack plays in the background. The controls are a little stiff (it is an N64 platformer, after all), but there’s something oddly satisfying about wrecking a diner as Elwood.
First level drops you right into a chaotic bar chase, dodging bottles and jumping on tables. The music kicks in hard, and suddenly you’re tapping buttons in time with the beat without even realizing it. Some of the later puzzles get janky, but the vibe carries it. If you’ve ever wanted to play a game that feels like a Saturday morning cartoon mixed with a blues club, this is it.
