I picked up Block Kuzushi GB on my Game Boy back in 1995. It was published by Natsume, a company known for other solid titles on the system. This was during a time when the Game Boy library was full of simple, portable ideas, and this game fit right into that pocket friendly era.

You control a paddle at the bottom of the screen, deflecting a ball to break all the blocks above. The main objective is to clear each stage completely before you run out of balls. The game introduces power ups that fall from broken blocks, changing your paddle's size or giving you multiple balls at once. Some levels have indestructible blocks that force you to carefully aim your shots around them. The pacing is methodical, and the difficulty comes from managing the ball's angle and those tricky stage layouts. It feels satisfying to watch a screen full of blocks systematically disappear with a well placed shot.
