Block Kuzushi GB is one of those classic Game Boy brick-breakers that feels simple at first—just bounce a ball, break blocks, don’t let it drop. But the Japanese version has this weirdly satisfying weight to the paddle, like it’s got just a tiny bit of resistance when you slide it. The blocks shatter in these little pixel bursts, and some stages have these sneaky gaps where the ball slips through if you’re not careful.
It’s not flashy, but there’s something about the chunky sound effects and the way the music speeds up when you’re down to the last few blocks. I kept replaying stages just to see if I could clear them faster. If you’ve got a soft spot for old-school arcade-style games, this one’s a solid time-killer.
