Blast Corps is one of those weird, brilliant N64 games that shouldn’t work but totally does. You’ve got this runaway missile carrier barreling toward disaster, and your job is to smash everything in its path—houses, bridges, even entire skyscrapers—using whatever ridiculous vehicle they throw at you. Bulldozers, dump trucks, even a mech that punches buildings into rubble. It starts simple, then suddenly you’re timing jumps with a backflipping robot or frantically clearing a path before the carrier plows into a gas station.
The controls take a second to get used to (that N64 stick…), but once it clicks, there’s something weirdly satisfying about reducing a city block to splinters in 30 seconds flat. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, they introduce some new vehicle with completely different physics. Messy, chaotic, and way more fun than it has any right to be.
