Bionic Battler Game

Bionic Battler is one of those Game Boy brawlers that somehow makes tiny sprites feel absolutely brutal. You pick your cyborg fighter—I always went with the one that had the ridiculous shoulder cannons—and jump into these cramped, neon-lit arenas where every punch sounds like a car crash. The controls are simple, but timing your special moves just right takes some practice. Mess up, and you’ll eat a plasma fist to the face.
What’s cool is how each fighter actually feels different—some are sluggish tanks, others are glass cannons that zip around. And yeah, the upgrades matter more than you’d think. First time I played, I dumped all my credits into armor, only to realize I couldn’t dodge anything. Lesson learned.
It’s got that classic Game Boy charm where the screen’s too small for the chaos, but somehow that just makes the fights more desperate. If you’ve got a soft spot for janky, loud little fighters, this one’s a blast.
