Biohazard 2 on N64 is one of those games that still gives me chills—even with the blocky graphics. You start off as Leon or Claire, stumbling into Raccoon City just as everything goes to hell. The zombies shamble toward you in that stiff, unsettling way, and you’ve got like three bullets left. Classic survival horror.
What’s wild is how they crammed the whole PS1 experience onto a cartridge. The cutscenes are grainy but still tense, and the puzzles actually make you think (unlike some modern horror games). I remember getting stuck in the police station for ages because I missed a tiny key item. Pro tip: save your ammo for the lickers—those things are no joke.
It’s janky by today’s standards, but the atmosphere holds up. You can almost smell the bloodstained hallways.
