Bigfoot on NES is this weirdly addictive monster truck game where you basically road-trip across America, racing at every pit stop. You start in LA and work your way to NYC, but it's not just straight racing—each location has two phases. First, there's a top-down qualifier where you're dodging obstacles, grabbing cash, and snagging power-ups (some help, some... don't). Then comes the real fun: a side-view head-to-head where you're mashing left and right to outmuscle the other truck.
The events get ridiculous in the best way—one minute you're crushing cars under your tires, the next you're slogging through mud pits. And yeah, you have to spend your hard-earned cash on upgrades between races, or you'll get smoked. First time I played, I blew all my money on engine parts and immediately regretted it when I hit a mud race with zero traction. Lesson learned.
It's janky, loud, and exactly what you'd expect from an NES monster truck sim. The soundtrack alone is burned into my brain forever.
