I picked up Beavis and Butt-Head for the Game Boy back in 1998, published by GT Interactive. It was one of those many licensed games from that era, a time when you'd find all sorts of cartoons and shows turned into portable adventures. This one stuck with me, not because it was groundbreaking, but because it captured the show's particular brand of stupidity pretty well on the small screen.

You control both characters, switching between them to solve simple puzzles and navigate a series of interconnected locations. The main goal is to find tickets to a GWAR concert, which sends you searching through their neighborhood, the school, and other familiar spots. The gameplay involves a lot of screen by screen exploration, talking to other characters to get items or clues, and using those items in the right places. You also run into some basic action sequences, like avoiding teachers or other hazards. It's not a particularly fast or difficult game; the challenge comes more from figuring out what ridiculous thing to try next. Playing it feels like you're directing a very dumb, interactive episode of the show.
