Okay, so imagine smashing together the best parts of Battletoads and Double Dragon—that’s exactly what this Game Boy brawler does. You pick from the toads or the Lee brothers, and then it’s just fists, kicks, and the occasional ridiculous wrestling move against waves of goons. The sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed, and the controls feel tight for a Game Boy beat-em-up.
It’s got that classic side-scrolling chaos where you’re juggling enemies between punches, and yeah, you’ll probably get ganged up on a few times. The levels mix up the usual urban brawling with some weird Battletoads-style hazards (watch out for those instant-death pits). Not gonna lie, it’s tough, but in that satisfying way where you keep mashing buttons until you finally clear a screen.
If you’ve played either series, you’ll spot little nods everywhere, and the soundtrack’s got that crunchy Game Boy charm. Definitely one of the better crossovers from that era.
