Man, this game is pure 90s chaos in the best way possible. You get the Battletoads—those weird, hyperactive frog mutants—teaming up with Billy and Jimmy Lee from Double Dragon to punch their way through waves of goons. The sprites are chunky, the hits feel satisfyingly weighty, and the soundtrack has that classic arcade vibe.
At first, I thought the Battletoads would feel out of place next to the Double Dragon guys, but their over-the-top moves (like turning into a wrecking ball mid-air) actually balance out the Lee brothers’ more straightforward brawling. The levels throw everything at you—alien spaceships, city streets, even a speeder bike section that’s way less punishing than the original Battletoads. It’s short, but the co-op makes it a blast to replay with a friend.
Just don’t expect deep storytelling—this is all about smashing through bad guys with ridiculous animations and zero subtlety.
