Battle Pingpong (japan) Game

Battle Pingpong on the Game Boy is exactly what it sounds like—a no-frills, fast-paced table tennis game with that classic handheld charm. The controls are simple (just A and B for different shot strengths), but don’t let that fool you—the AI gets sneaky after a few rounds. I lost my first match embarrassingly fast because I kept overshooting the table.
It’s got that satisfying click sound when you nail a perfect return, and the pixelated ball actually has some weight to it. No fancy power-ups or gimmicks, just you, a tiny paddle, and some surprisingly intense rallies. The Japanese version doesn’t add anything wild, but there’s something weirdly addictive about how stripped-down it is.
If you’re into retro sports games that don’t overcomplicate things, this one’s a solid time-killer.
