Ever played Zelda II and wished it had more Greek mythology? That’s basically The Battle of Olympus in a nutshell. You play as Orpheus, hacking and jumping your way through ancient Greece to rescue Helene from Hades—because apparently, the underworld just can’t stop kidnapping people.
It’s got that same mix of side-scrolling combat and light exploration as Metroid, but with way more olive branches and lyres. The gods occasionally toss you a bone (literally, sometimes), but don’t expect them to do all the work. You’ll die a lot, especially to those stupid harpies that divebomb out of nowhere.
Pro tip: hoard every drachma you find. The upgrades aren’t cheap, and you’ll need ‘em before the underworld decides to really ruin your day.
