Batman Forever on Game Boy is one of those licensed beat 'em ups that feels like it was made in a hurry—but hey, it's got some charm. You pick Batman or Robin (Batman’s moves feel heavier, Robin’s quicker) and punch your way through waves of thugs in vaguely neon-lit streets. The sprites are tiny, but you can tell who’s who—Two-Face’s split-face look actually comes through, which is impressive for the hardware.
It’s not deep, and the controls are a little stiff, but there’s something satisfying about knocking out Riddler’s goons while that chiptune version of the movie theme plays in the background. Just don’t expect Arkham-level depth—this is pure '90s arcade-style brawling. If you’re into retro Batman stuff, it’s a fun little time capsule.
