Bass Hunter 64 is one of those weirdly satisfying N64 fishing sims that somehow makes sitting in a virtual boat for hours actually fun. You start off picking your gear—spinnerbaits, crankbaits, the usual—and then it’s just you, the water, and the occasional tug on the line when a bass finally bites. The fish actually fight back, too, which keeps things tense.
What surprised me was how different each lake feels—some are calm and easy, others have currents that mess with your casting. And yeah, the tournaments get pretty competitive once you figure out where the big lunkers hide. It’s janky in that classic N64 way, but if you’ve ever wanted to fish without dealing with actual weather, this one’s weirdly addictive.
