Bases Loaded on Game Boy is one of those old-school baseball games that somehow nails the feel of the sport despite the tiny screen and chunky pixels. You pick your team, step up to bat, and suddenly you're squinting at that little dot of a ball coming at you—timing your swing is way harder than it looks. Miss, and you'll hear that awful "thwiff" sound; connect, and it's pure satisfaction watching your guy sprint to first.
Pitching’s just as tense—you’ve got to mix up fastballs and curves or the AI will wreck you. Fielding’s janky (good luck catching line drives), but that’s part of the charm. It’s not deep by today’s standards, but there’s something weirdly addictive about grinding through a full season, especially if you grew up with a Game Boy in your hands. Just don’t blame me when you realize you’ve been hunched over for an hour trying to win the pennant.
