Bartman Meets Radioactive Man came out for the NES in 1992 from Imagineering. It was one of the later games for the system, arriving when players were used to side scrolling action. You step into Bart Simpson's shoes, or rather his Bartman costume, after Fallout Boy pops out of a comic book and asks for help. The main goal is to travel through the comic book world to rescue Radioactive Man from his enemies.

You control Bartman through a series of side scrolling levels, jumping across platforms and fighting off various villains. Your primary attack is a short range punch, but you can also find power up icons that let you shoot a limited number of laser beams from your eyes. The game is structured level by level, and you collect items to replenish your health or gain those temporary projectile attacks. It's known for its high difficulty, partly because there are no continues or passwords; if you lose all your lives, you start over from the very beginning. Moving through the colorful, chaotic stages feels like a constant scramble to survive.
